Perhaps because nobody in most of the media wants to investigate it. They might have to look at it and determine why it was done. And frankly it looked very political. Trump, as requested sent lots of aid including hospital ships to New York to put Covid patients. These ships remained largely unused. Using those resources might have allowed Trump to use it as a political point in an Election year. Couldn't do anything to possibly make him look good. Just like Kamala Harris and others attacked Trump's vaccine as being dangerous. Better to put the Elderly at risk and throw Covid patients into Nursing homes than risk Trump getting a chance at good publicity.
This is exactly what I was concerned about. While he needs to go down for the sexual allegations, this is proof that the Dems are using that to cover up the nursing scandal. It's why I have been laughing my ass off when I see article titles for opinion pieces from CNN and MSNBC saying things like "Unlike Republicans, Democrats hold their own accountable, and Cuomo is proof of that." LMFAOOOOOO ummm, nooooo! The Dems never liked Cuomo; he barely had any friends. This was their chance to get rid of him because he no longer serves a purpose for them.
Again, the sexual allegations are serious and he needed to be held accountable. I hope these women pursue legal action. But the Dems know they can push this to the front and make people not care about the nursing home scandal as much. And it's working. Go to the comments section of MSNBC, CBS, or CNN's Facebook posts on this. If there's not a handful of loony Libs saying Cuomo was framed, many of them think the nursing home scandal was a lie made up by Trump. Hell, a lot of them think the reason Cuomo went down was because of Trump.
Because the blue-checkmark clapping seals who hailed him as the godlike antidote to Trumpism don't want to admit they uncritically, enthusiastically, and shamelessly threw their lot behind someone who proved to be just as incompetent and malevolent as they claimed Trump to be.
My grandmother's next door neighbor at her nursing home is currently COVID+. When management was questioned about it, they said they had no open rooms in isolation and there was no where else for her to go. And no, staff have not been mandated to vaccinate despite knowing early on that elderly people have a less robust immune response to the vaccine.
If you think this is only NY, you're in for a surprise. While there were absolute botches in policy, ultimately where were people in congregate living situations supposed to go if COVID+ but not ill enough to be hospitalized? Many (Republican) states are claiming that they can't even require their staff - the people who most likely spread COVID in nursing homes - to vaccinate.

I was saying this to my wife last night. Cuomo reached out to Trump/the Feds for help and Trump sent the hospital ship. Would it really be a surprise if we learned that Cuomo then received a phone call from Pelosi or some other higher up in the Dem party and told Cuomo that he is not to use that ship because doing so could give Trump a small win to flout come election time.
Thousands can die as a direct result of Cuomo's bad (politically fueled) decision to throw the covid sick into the the nursing homes to be treated along side the most susceptible segment of our society yet this is ignored while 11 women have taken him down?
