Us on the right, love our country for what it is. Democrats only love America for what they can change it into. But it never works. Eventually, they find something else to be miserable about.
We love our country like everyone should. The left treats their country like a toxic girlfriend that needs to be broken up with.
Yes, I have noticed I am much happier than most leftists I meet!
That's the biggest reason I don't take advice on how to live from leftists. They have little/no control over their own life and emotions. Why should anyone follow the guidance or even listen to people like that? What wisdom could they possibly have to offer to the world? Yet, they are the ones who talk the loudest, and the most.
You are correct, OP. We are. I noticed the huge contrast in happiness having lived in both liberal and conservative regions. The people in the latter were happier, more community oriented, far more generous, and easy-going.
Our corps in the conservative area were donating a far higher % of gross payroll to various charitable orgs, including the United Way. Tithing was widely practiced.
The left seem like sad sacks in general. The dems are always with the doom and gloom messaging, I get that it's just politics to some degree, it just seemed like the RNC had a much more positive messaging of hope versuses the doom and gloom of the dems.
It's debatable. Self-deception enhancement is higher among conservatives, which makes them report greater happiness. Liberals tend to be more self-aware, so pronouncements of happiness are more likely to be accurate. Personally I'm happy most of the time.

Nope, I am very happy and not by deception. I’m a positive person
When it comes to happiness and personality, I just find those on the right much more fun to be around. Generally speaking (and I know there are outliers and this is a blanket statement), I find those on the right happier, optimistic, and they assume the best in people. I can't overstate that last point enough. When conservatives disagree, they will say it in a way that is not argumentative and preserves the dignity of the other person. And if someone says something that offends them, they're not going to call them a horrible name.
In general, I've found that leftists (I'm sorry, I refuse to call them liberal because they are anything but. The root word of "liberal" is "liberty," and we all know how authoritarian and fascist the left is getting these days) complain more, don't smile as much, and have a very limited, if any, sense of humor. And usually, they assume the worst in people. Someone can never just make a borderline comment, no...to a leftist, that borderline comment is proof that said person is a racist, sexist, etc.
And in the looks department...well. What's on the outside often reflects what's on the inside, I'll just leave it at that.
