No that is not my narrative. My narrative is
Cops need to be better trained, better recruited to weed out ones who will not do a good job, more in tune with the community they police and be harshly disciplined if they stand up or don’t out a bad fellow officer. Police records of community complaints and discipline should be transparent. And no self identified nazi or white supremisist should be allowed to serve.
Do you disagree? Seems logical and fair to me and most people.
I think you'd find that 90%+ of folks agree in principle with 90% of what you say. I, for example, don't think you can make records of community complaints transparent/public record. But the rest? Lots of commonality.
People on this board often make excuses for police shootings. Especially if the victim is black. Well, this time trigger happy white cop shot a white kid.
What about the trigger happy black criminal that just shot the white cop IN THE HEAD in Daytona Beach?
Is it necessary to point out that law enforcement should be held to a higher standard? Otherwise we're just at the mercy of competing gangs, one of which we hope is mostly on our side.
Wouldn't you want to wait for some evidence before you make these claims? Have you learned nothing from so many of BLM blunders where the cops acted appropriately?
The fact is that a person is much more likely to be shot by police in the USA than almost any other country. And it is the most of any first world country, by exponentially large numbers.

Let's just say everything King says was true, just for argument's sake. The kid is stopped by the cop. The cop gets out of car and Brittain unceremoniously jumps out of his truck and races back to jam something under the back tire. Maybe the cop just saw the driver running towards him with something in his hands and the cop freaked out, and shot him. Brittain is young enough he may not have even given a thought to what his unusual actions, of running towards the officer with something in his hands, might look like to a police officer. <shrug>

Average gang banger is 15 years old. Favored by gangs because they can use these kids to commit murder and get out of jail at 18 or 21. As a teen records locked, repeat offenders get to kill again with one done for free.
BLM has inflamed the situation and the call to kill cops is loud and clear. This puts cops on edge. As cops are prosecuted for doing their job, no cop ever wants to shoot anyone!
More often rumors and lies by media and activists about the shooting fan the flames and the mob believes the worst w/o ever having the facts.
Apparently it is far beyond comprehension that resisting arrest or taunting as if the perp had a gun will result in a bad outcome. Moreso as activists and terror groups like BLM create such an explosive environment. Cops are suffering ptsd as so many are killed because of the lies the media and activists spread.
About time the media and prospective perps were required to know the legal/common sense basics, what do most shooting have in common, RESISTING ARREST!
Seems you aren't reading the story. There is also an employee involved that hired this boy as a minor and said he works harder than many of his adult hires.
