Police reform signed into law.

Better training in dealing with confrontations, investigations that can't be accused of partiality, and a requirement to self-police. Seems like solid improvements.

I agree.

Better training etc. are a reasonable step to take to address the issue.

Some of the approaches taken in major US cities have only resulted in vastly increasing the death toll of browner\poorer people that they were supposed to be HELPING with their initiatives.

Ron DeSantis doing what Ron DeSantis has done since day 1... great things for the state of Florida.

Imagine if this guy were President...

The de-escalation angle is sorely needed. Right now the cops approach too many situations as a tense stand-off of who will shoot first.

I think if we are honest and take a step back there have been a number of attacks on police the past year or two as they sat in squad cars or were lured into ambushes.

I think there have been almost as many of those as there have been bad shoots.

Rhetoric about killing cops, frying pigs etc. and other loose rhetoric has not helped the matter any.

Better training is sorely needed. Anything that anyone can push for more training for officers is a win, in my mind.

He also knows how to count ballots. We were done and tabulated a few hours after the polls closed here in Florida. I’d recommend we send our teams up to NYC to show them how it’s done but I’m sure they would be turned away at the city limits.

I wonder why they weren't able to get body/dash cams included.
