Businesses, companies etc. are managed by business managers who have the position without whether or not they are democrats or republicans, green party, independents, etc.
SO, you all know the federal government does not do anything. Right? It subcontracts out what it wants done to business. Well, maybe a few things it directly accomplishes, but not much when you look at the budget as a whole.
And, can we all agree that the politicians are wasting our hard earned tax dollars?
So, how about changing things around so the House of Representatives does not approve budgets, which are loaded with pork, but have a steward ship level that has the job of supervising or taking care of something, such as SPENDING OUR TAX DOLLARS WISELY instead of building another post office in Senator Foghorn Leghorn's electoral district.
So politicians talk to politicians and business managers talk to other business mangers.
It's call oversight and there is none in Congress anymore. Even if they did your idea, Democrats would corrupt that, too, just like they did the CIA, FBI and DOJ.

We had oversite in spending but the last administration worked to remove that, would'nt want corruption being a sticking point to accomplishing what they thought was needed.

Just wondering. Are you very young?
Nope Grlzrl, I am as old as dirt. Biden in one of his "spend, spend, spend" plans (The American Jobs Plan) said this, "The federal government spends more than a half-a-trillion dollars buying goods and services each year."
Actually if that all it spent, I would not mind it. But its actually much, much more. Over spent actually. Meaning the federal govn't spends more than it takes it.
Probably the reason why towns charge their residents $20,000 in fines, and legal fees if someone's grass is too long, or our road police hand out tickets at the end of each month like it was a "Come to Jesus" campaign.
