I bet they never read the book 1984. It is an eye opener. We had Snowden warn us about the spying on ordinary citizens. What got me thinking was the two men carrying their white privilege card, that they were spying on were common citizens and the government had their exact words down.
8 years ago, hell. I worked on specialized signal processing computers that were used by the NSA to monitor phone calls, back in the mid-1970's. Yeah, almost 50 years ago! And before that, they probably paid people to sit around and listen to your phone calls. To say this is nothing new would the understatement of the year. And yet somehow we survived.
