I work in healthcare/academics and am really glad that all of our employees (with a few rare exceptions) are required to be vaccinated for COVID. We are slowly trickling back to the office from now until Fall. I feel much better knowing that almost everyone will be vaccinated.
Freedom is not a one way street. People have the freedom and right to not be exposed to infected people in public. This is a basic function of government to protect that freedom. That is 100% consistent with true conservative principles.
You may have the right to make personal choices but you don't have the right to impose the consequences of your "personal freedom" on the rest of society.
That is why they have to REQUIRE vaccinations before children can start school and for adults who work in food service or whose employment involves caring for others.
It's about the safety of other people.
It's unfortunate that some people have to be forced...

Besides, stop putting up straw men. People have no such right. You agree to assume that risk the second you step outside your front door. Don't like it? Too bad. Enough already.
Also, if you think people are infected, PROVE IT. And no, YOU MAY NOT test them without their consent.
