When President Trump first ran for office, he said the number one complaint of business owners was too much regulation. So that was one campaign promise of many he fulfilled and the economy skyrocketed.

Many regulations don't make sense and are just nanny state controls.

Here are a few well known products we might not have now if entrepreneurs had followed the rules.

Uber and Lyft are hemorrhaging money, the ridiculous e-scooters are a flop except in the worst of the worst of tourist traps and SpaceX have been caught in one minor FAA violation. Is there a point here?

The red tape involved for getting a business started is very deep. In my home state recreational marijuana was voted in back in 2016 by a state wide vote and then each town also had a vote to see if they wanted to capitalize on the expected tax windfall from allowing a shop in their town.

I don't think it is a good idea to open a pot shop but I'm not the type to stand in the way of what the majority want. The thing is even after years of extensive research, applications, zoning board approvals, permitting process that moves at a snails pace, endless meetings etc etc.. the latest hurdle that will hold up the store opening comes down to a traffic study that was not done properly due to construction on the road nearby. We shouldn't be surprised if an environmental study will have to be done next...

I like that Trump tried to cut that red tape because it is getting thicker by the day. Red tape really does hold up progress.
