How in the world can you read that statement and think it's a support for the Cuban people?
I know right? If their support for the Cuban people is anything like their "support" for black people, the Cuban people better run far away from BLM.
BLM finds a tragedy, racializes it, radicalizes it, causes social chaos, makes millions off of it...and then LEAVES those communities worse than before.
The Cuban people aren't dumb enough to be taken in by Marxist utopian promises...they've been there and done that.
They explicitly mention the Cuban governments support for harboring wanted terrorists.
“ Assata Olugbala Shakur (born JoAnne Deborah Byron; July 16, 1947; married name, JoAnne Chesimard) is an American domestic terrorist and former member of the Black Liberation Army (BLA), who was convicted in the first-degree murder of State Trooper Werner Foerster during a shootout on the New Jersey Turnpike in 1973. Shakur is wanted by the FBI and there is a $2 million reward for her apprehension.[2]
[…]
While serving a life sentence for murder, Shakur escaped in 1979 from the Clinton Correctional Facility for Women, now the Edna Mahan Correctional Facility for Women. She surfaced in Cuba in 1984, where she was granted political asylum. Shakur has lived in Cuba since, despite US government efforts to have her returned. She has been on the FBI Most Wanted Terrorists list since 2013 as Joanne Deborah Chesimard and was the first woman to be added to this list.“
The Cuban government could get 2 million if they turned this convicted terrorist in.
The statement is not in support of communism as you claim. It is about ending the embargo with Cuba which I support. After all we trade with communist China which had wide support from the republican party and the right. So what is the difference? the right supports the embargo to gain Cuban vote support in Florida. In the same breath the right knocks the left for open border policy because those immigrants tend to vote {D}.
No we should not be sending aid but should be ending the embargo and any sanctions on Cuba, after all the right chirps they are all about free trade or are those just talking points.
Could be when Cuba allowed Russia to bring in missiles pointed at the United States and allowed a military build up there , the United States will not forget that.
Could be when Cuba allowed Russia to bring in missiles pointed at the United States and allowed a military build up there , the United States will not forget that.
So there should be a embargo for eternity? The missiles are long gone the embargo worked why keep punishing the Cuban people? is that your foreign policy? are you a free trader? or is that just a talking point?
Partisans are so alike, the right has their most favored immigrants and the left has theirs.

Do they not realize that Cuba is ruled by communists? Do they not realize that the sanctions were put in place because Russia had put nukes on the island and pointed them at the US?
DO people not realize Japan made a sneak attack on US assets yet we trade with them today? Do people not realize times change?

If Cuba embraced democracy, it seems the people want it but of course the leaders do not in typical dictator fashion, then the island could be opened up to trade and even tourism which could make it rich and lift the standard of living for all.
Has BLM come out to support Haiti in any way? Why not?
Americans are free to travel to both COMMUNIST! China and COMMUNIST! Vietnam and we trade with both. WHY should Cuba be any different? The hell with whatever misguided BS BLM may involve itself with, it should have NO influence on US foreign policy.

Agreed!
Cuba...sorry we can't do business with you because we can't financially support communist countries who oppress their citizens.
China....TAKE ALL MY MONEY!
At the end of the day if we didn't trade with any communist regime, then the embargo works. Otherwise, let's stop the dog and pony show and keep the money local and curb the illegal immigration crisis.
BLM is a marxist organization run by greedy people like the communists. I feel sorry for the idiots who actually believe its an organization for a real cause
