I feel no need to wear a mask since my local hospital reports that 100% of their covid patients in ICU are not vaccinated.

The hyperbolic headline about vaccinated people being able to transmit the virus leaves out the massively important fact that vaccinated people are far, far less likely to have an infection to pass along in the first place. The real reason that the CDC came out with the new mask guidelines is because the honor system - predictably - was a total failure as unvaccinated simply pretended they were and did not mask in public places. So the CDC (along with places like LA county) decides to punish everyone for the behavior of the irresponsible/ignorant/skeptical. The CDC should have been honest and laid the blame where it belongs.

Folks like me trust . . . truthers.

I, myself, am truthy, too. And 'toothy'.

In previous weeks, the CDC had said that fully-vaccinated people can't get sick from (original) Covid-19, and can't give it to others, even unvaccinated others.

But now Variant D is raising its ugly head, and the CDC is changing its tune as of today, July 30.

Sounds like the only way to NOT get sick from this Variant D, is to get vaccinated. (95% efficacy, which means you still have a 5% chance of getting sick from it if you have close enough contact with an infected person. That's far better odds than if you don't get vaccinated.)
Vaccine wasn't implemented to create herd immunity. It was implemented to cause the virus to mutate and effect more people on a grand scale. Face it, those behind the curtain are using this as a biological warfare, and it's a shame people are too stupid and blind to see it. And I'm still not getting the damn vaccine.
