People need to start looking at covid like the flu. It is unstoppable. You'll probably get it at least once in your life. Get your yearly flu/covid booster shot, and you should be protected from serious illness or death. Learn to live with it people, we accept the flu kills many thousands every year and covid will too. Eventually, it will become another strain of the common cold.
The problem is flu is a virus of natural origin and we have Covid-19 that has been artificially engineered in a lab. No one can predict the way this Frankenstein of a virus will behave and evolve. We already have variants that seem to be resistant to the vaccines.

Well, if your son was hospitalized for weeks and didn't seem to be getting any better, do you think your concern would be nothing but dramatics?

She routinely presents one, once-in-a-lifetime class trauma after another around here. Keep a watch and let's see if she keeps on doing it. She is doing it to be manipulative.

We mandate masks,etc at this point I believe to keep hospitals from getting overwhelmed. We absolutely could have beaten the original variant. The Delta one? Maybe if we got over 95% vaccinated, AND locked down. Thats not going to happen. Because it would have to be world wide. Delta really has changed things.
At this point I think we need mandates during these spikes because overwhelmed hospitals will make this way way more deadly. Outside of that? Id actually encourage those who arent planning on getting vaccinated to do things to increase their odds of getting it at points where hospitals could handle them. Delta is THAT contagious. Youre going to get it eventually if you arent vaccinated. If youre that foolish do it when the hospitals have room for your nonsense.
