It won't be the democrats that do that's for sure. At least not until the leftists are voted out of the party. To be fair until Trump, most Republicans didn't do much either they just said they would but never really did.
But then the democrats made it a racial thing (when it is not) and no way no how will they ever back track on that they WANT the current situation to continue
The democrats are just doing what their lobbyists tell them to do. China is about to cut off the umbilical cord from the US, and with that in mind, it's just a matter of time before the big corporations start sending their manufacturing jobs back to the USA, and they will need a strong low wage work force before they do, and this is when the immigrants will come in handy. Not to mention they will be the first ones thrown into the draft in case war breaks out.

This encourages people to try to get into the country first, kind of like if you try to get on line for say concert tickets or a new product at the store first. The process becomes disorderly and is at least partially responsible for the chaos at the border.
