I'm not sorry we're leaving, but yes the withdrawal appears inadequately planned. Withdrawal in the face of an enemy is always a challenging operation. Still, I have confidence our military will pull it off. As for the Afghans, well they didn't put up much of a fight so this is at least partly on them. They chose their future. We've spent enough money there.

Nobody wanted this result, but hindsight is 20/20. People love to play Monday morning quarterback anytime something bad happens. I’m glad we’re done with Afghanistan.
This thread is about someone who had the foresight to prepare an evacuation plan that was not used. Unless you can show that his plan would have been even more disastrous than what Biden did and did not do, I'll take his foresight over Biden's hindsight.

I can pretty much guarantee that my knowledge of evacuations, logistics, and military tactics, sparse though it is, greatly exceeds what Biden ever knew, much less what little he's able to remember anymore. Our only hope would have been for him to pay attention to his advisors, but apparently that didn't happen.
