They do if their doctor recommends it. I had relatives get it. It’s like the vaccine, covered by the federal government. Trump signed that coverage, by the way, after he received that treatment.
Abbot was fully vaccinated and likely will recover quickly. No telling how long he has been shedding the virus and potentially infecting others, especially the unvaccinated.
Yes. I lost two brothers, a nephew, and some other extended family members early on. The virus was very hard on my family. Fortunately they now have better ways of treating it, including the monoclonal antibodies. The high number of deaths in our family is but one of the reasons they were eligible for the monoclonal antibodies. You have no idea how relieved we were after the first one got it and walked out of the hospital in under a week.
Oh I’m so sorry to hear that. That’s awful. Im glad your other family members were eligible for the treatment.
The real issue is why is he being treated if he has no symptoms? How many Texans who have symptoms are getting antibody treatment?
He’s Governor. Nuff said.
As I understand it, it’s an IV treatment. Most folk don’t have access to IV treatments at home and those with no symptoms are not admitted to hospitals.
It makes zero sense that someone with no symptoms would be receiving this kind of IV treatment, unless at high risk for complications. Then again, he’s Governor.
He’s in his 70s and is paralyzed from the waste down. Plus he is the governor so of course he will get great medical care.
