A senior Biden administration official said on Thursday that U.S. policy on Taiwan had not changed after President Joe Biden appeared to suggest the United States would defend the island if it were attacked, a deviation from a long-held U.S. position of "strategic ambiguity."

This is supposed to be the type of public statement for public consumption... where officials say something, without saying anything.
Biden's national security adviser Jake Sullivan was asked about Taiwan this week and called it a "fundamentally different question in a different context" to Afghanistan.
"We believe our commitment to Taiwan ... remains as strong as it's ever been," he said, without specifying what the commitment was.

Let’s be honest …
The US is a society that officially can no longer tell the difference between males and females. It's a country that will make a skilled worker unemployable the first time some idiot says the skilled worker hurt their feelings. Our richest citizens cheer for China while demanding the federal government label conservatives "terrorists". All that needs to be done to defeat the US at war is lay low and wait for the newest way our ruling class tears our society apart for profit and fun. Taiwan falls next and the “Clean Up” crew has made it clear.

I think we are VERY close to seeing Biden step down; and I honestly think and hope he will do so voluntarily (although I think that it will be suggested that he do so). Probably not for another month or two, but it think it will happen, and I just hope I'm right!
