A black father, decendent of slaves on both sides of his family, makes one of the most elequent presentations I have ever heard condemning wokeness and Critical Race Theory (CRT), because he says we need to let racism die and that CRT keeps racism on 'life support'. Here is the video:
A father in Colorado Springs who is the descendant of slaves slammed critical race theory during a public school district’s board meeting, saying racism in America would "by and large be dead" if not for institutions such as the education system "keeping it on life support."
Wilburn went on to say that "racism in America would by and large be dead today if it were not for certain people and institutions keeping it on life support. Sadly, one of those institutions is the American education system."
The father of three went on to say that he "can think of nothing more damaging to a society than to tell a baby born today, that she has grievances against another baby born today, simply because of what their ancestors may have done two centuries ago."
"There's simply no point in doing that to our children, and putting critical race theory into our classrooms in part does that. Putting critical theory into our classrooms is not combating racism. It's fanning the flames of what little embers are left. I encourage you to support this resolution. Let racism die the death it deserves."
This guy could run for office and win. Very sharp and exactly right.
The people who support wokeness and critical race theory are the racists in our society. It is time to purge this evil from our midst once and for all. Not the people, the racism and all the mechanisms for promoting and sustaining it, certainly including wokeness and CRT.
Racism has been resurrected by the Left to be used as a political weapon. You want to shut down the speech of an opponent broadcast that he is a racist and watch him scramble to ensure people that he is not.
It is odd how Trump as a celebrity was rubbing elbows with prominent Black people for decades but as soon as he dared to become President he was suddenly this horrible racist monster.
Slavery, Racism, Civil Rights, they are all part of our History and we should all understand these dark times and the triumphs of humanity that overcame them. Gone but not forgotten should be the description.
