10 hospitals in ruby red northern Idaho have moved to crisis care where ICU space will be made available to those most likely to survive because they are overrun with covid - 90% of whom are unvaccinated. We will be seeing this same thing all across the northern tier in a couple weeks as the delta variant collides head on with vaccine resistance.

First ever? I believe NYC was the first to do that when they sent the elderly back to nursing homes to die.

https://healthandwelfare.idaho.gov/news The statement/article is from the Idaho Health Department themselves.

I was a little surprised this happened in Idaho first. But in checking, I see they have one of the lowest ICU beds per capita in the country: 1.9 per 10,000. Others are likely to follow suit fairly soon, I would expect.

I think Tennessee will be hit next. They are seeing the most cases since the beginning of the pandemic. As I recall, they struggled with it back then as well. But really, all the low vax states of the middle and northern tier are in for a really rough time over the next couple weeks. W. Va governor is begging people to get shots. Rural hospitals can not handle this. This thing is unfolding just like the CDC said it would.
