Real Clear Investigations has running stats on the Antifa/BLM riots vs the Jan. 6 Riot vs the riot on Trump's inauguration day in 2017.
Interesting to see which ones get more media attention compared to damage.
yes. very interesting indeed...
It is clear, then, that many Americans see two sides to this story. In keeping with its mission to fill gaps in press coverage, RealClearInvestigations is launching a running compendium of data, with hyperlinked sourcing, comparing the damage done on Jan. 6, and the subsequent treatment of those accused of perpetrating it, with two other recent events: the summer 2020 riots and – in some ways a closer analogy – the all-but-forgotten riot in Washington on Inauguration Day 2017, as protesters challenged Donald Trump’s election and legitimacy much as Jan. 6 rioters challenged Joe Biden's.
RealClearInvestigations has found that:
•The summer 2020 riots resulted in some 15 times more injured police officers, 30 times as many arrests, and estimated damages in dollar terms up to 1,300 times more costly than those of the Capitol riot. George Floyd rioters were found to have used more sophisticated and dangerous tactics than did the Capitol rioters, and in some cases weapons of greater lethality.
•Authorities have pursued the largely Trump-supporting Capitol rioters with substantially more vigor than suspected wrongdoers in the earlier two cases. Many accused Capitol rioters, unlike accused participants in the other riots, have been held in pretrial detention for months – with one defendant serving more time than the maximum sentence for the charge to which he pleaded guilty. Some allegedly endured solitary confinement and other mistreatment.

What's interesting about it? Are you implying that breaking and entering the Capitol is on par with looting Target? That's pretty messed up, if so.
Do you think local prosecutors have the same authority as federal prosecutors? Did the state and local prosecutors have the same detailed information that the federal prosecutors have?
You're comparing apples to oranges to get your "Aha it's a conspiracy" theory. Maybe next time the low information MAGA crowd will think twice (but I bet they won't).
And this is in no way to make an excuse for the BLM/ANTIFA clowns, it's simply stating that you are comparing different levels of crime and different sets of laws and prosecutors. State's rights, remember?
It is easy to see the difference between the 2 groups.
The January 6th guys were an angry mob of amateurs that got out of hand.
The so called "peaceful protest" rioters were professional agitators looking to damage, disrupt and destroy their intended targets of public and private property while inflicting as much hurt on the Police and authorities and lets not forget about the looting and arson.
January 6th, rank amateurs.

I agree, it's extremely clear that for political reasons a number of city DA's get a free pass to ANTIFA and others (although not all). The Feds were not that forgiving and never are.
As such it's not a conspiracy but just politics in action but does that really make it any better?

Antifa riots were literally dictionary definition insurrection. Attacking a federal court house every single night for a few months so the court house could not conduct business.
Creating an autonomous zone where police and others were excluded, local laws and law enforcement banned, etc.
Kenosha Wisconsin having mass damage.
Over 2,000 police officers injured.
It is pretty sad that you pretend a single Target got looted. Don't enable insurrection. You don't care about insurrection, you care if the wrong people do it.

As they say there is always a Donald Trump tweet for everything. Here he is talking tough defending government property.
Quote:
I have authorized the Federal Government to arrest anyone who vandalizes or destroys any monument, statue or other such Federal property in the U.S. with up to 10 years in prison, per the Veteran’s Memorial Preservation Act, or such other laws that may be pertinent.....

The run of the mill liberal thinks it's completely moral and righteous to burn, murder, and destroy anything and anyone that peacefully disagrees with them. To them, having a different opinion is worse than Mao's Great Leap Forward. The Capitol riot gets more media coverage than the BLM/Antifa riots because it wasn't leftists rioting.
