Will support anything preventing needless hospitalization/death, and virus transmission...vaccine mandates will do that. You think this is tough? Feel free to move to Australia!
But you admitted to supporting something you didn't know the details of.
Though, it sounds as though you'd fit in better in Australia.....
Genuine question — those on ventilators. Are they younger, older? Overweight? Pre-existing health conditions?
But for someone like me, who was already exposed, didn't get sick, I don't see the point of getting vaxxed or wearing a mask, which many studies show doesn't protect against the spread of virus.
I would have to ask her just who is in the ward. She doesn't really go into details a lot.
As for the second part of your post, this is exactly my point. You got exposed and didn't get sick, but that doesn't mean you're immune unless you've been tested and have the antibodies. Even if that's true, you can still be a carrier and a spreader.
Some studies may indeed show masks don't work, but there are also those that do, and that goes to my point about conflicting information. I still think wearing a mask in some situations is no big deal and is the right thing to do.
Didn't see his speech today...however, support whatever keeps us as safe as possible from covid, minimizes more transmission of ever dangerous variants prolonging the pandemic, and the prevention of needless hospitalization and death. So yes, I do support mandates to help end the covid pandemic.
If it was truly that dangerous and that much a threat to public safety...dont you think they would be imposing much more strict mandates?!!
I cannot find a single place that is actually requiring the vaccine, to either work there or do business with.

Your wife should explain to you how antibodies are only a small part of natural immunity. Once infected, the body develops T and B cells which are present for as long as a lifetime in some cases, and as long as 17 years in others. These cells recognize variants and immediately go to work. In fact, as much as 40-60% of people had immunity to Covid 19 before the pandemic started from previous corona infection. There’s an article from BBC I have about this if you’re interested.
The vaccine keeps our hospitals from being overloaded. It has also saved hundreds of thousands of lives
The more vaccinated, the less of a chance the virus can mutate
Only 1900 vaccinated people with Covid have died out of 173 million people.
