You’re a government employee?

and WaPo has already walked it back.

Unless specified in his earlier EO that says "Federal employees and all contractors" - which it wasn't - then he can't mandate the USPS get vaxxed. So, as of this date, it does not apply to the USPS; they cannot mandate vaccines of USPS employees.

However, whenever he comes out with the OSHA rule that "all companies that employ 100+" - until it gets summarily tossed because his team has already sold out his intentions of going around his actual authority (google: Klain retweet) - then it applies to USPS.

It has to do with money and political support. The postal worker's union is one of the most powerful political entities in the country.

That's all it's about, proving that the mandate has nothing to do with health or safety. Who sees more people than a postal worker every day? But they don't need to be vaccinated. Got it.

Not sure your logic makes sense.

And I suspect after this week -- they may be mandated to get the vaccine.
Maybe you don't know what the word logic means?

So postal workers always stay 6 feet away from people because YOU don't interact? Cool story. You're probably right. While at work they always avoid others and just to be safe all hallways narrower than 6 feet are now closed.

Can't they just wear masks? Is it because the vaccine doesn't work?

The Federal Government has implemented pay freezes for Federal employees and it never affects the USPS. It's not a conspiracy. It's about who employees the workers. In the case of the USPS it is the USPS that employs people and not the Federal government.

Who is to say that Postal Workers would favor that all their coworkers be vaccinated anyway? Escaping a vaccine mandate may be good to some people and bad to others.

If you can't stay 6 feet away you are supposed to wear a mask vaccinated or not.

It might be because Post Office employees aren't technically government employees.

Doesn't the USPS have a special designation as an independent agency of the Executive branch. Not sure how that impacts them but it does give them special status.

I wasn't even thinking of the workers in the post office buildings. I go to the post office so rarely.

So people who aren't unvaccinated and need to use the post office are not concerned with the amt. of people they may come into contact with that may have the virus?

Up until July 26 there was a mask mandate in the post office. Will that be reinstated with the surge?
