According to Tim Pool, she got a free ticket, so they can use her for marketing because she is a celebrity

That is why I'm not a member of either political party. I hold Republicans as accountable as Democrats.

Yes, so technically everyone at the event had an increase in ticket price to cover hers. Yet, her ideology says they shouldn't have that money and it should be given to the poor. She's taking advantage of the system she hates.

Republicans don’t pretend rich people are evil, while accepting invites to party with them.

Politicians do not pay to attend these events. Daily offers to be lavishly wined and dined in exchange for "access" is one of the many perqs our esteemed leaders enjoy.
Manhattan's wealthy liberal elite no doubt applauded AOC and her "tax the rich" dress which helped provide a "we are the good guys" facade to their event, a fund-raiser for a tax-free entertainment venue used almost exclusively by the rich.
Maybe her dress should have said "tax the Met".

I wouldn't call her hypocritical for wearing the dress. She would be hypocritical for being someone who keeps saying that she is for the disadvantaged and then goes to an invitation-only event that costs 35K per ticket to attend. If she REALLY wanted to make a statement she should have gotten them to approve some disadvantaged homeless person to be her guest. I'd love to see how that would go over.

You might equate to her wearing the dress to this event similar to someone who wears a fur coat to a PETA benefit. Totally clueless and exercising poor judgment. But of course, because it was AOC they were all lapping it up faster than a kitten going after a saucer of milk.

Last year, 60% of Americans paid ZERO federal income tax.

The highest income earners are literally footing the bill for much of America.
Show a little appreciation!

They're carrying our country on their shoulders, and they often don't complain.
The only people complaining are the 60% who pay ZERO taxes and yet keep complaining about the rich not paying enough.
You are welcome, but I do complain about high taxes often...to anyone who will listen...which is nobody

If Obama was right, & I "didn't build that", then where did my Millons of Dollars in taxes go...to Martha's Vinyard me thinks
