I find it interesting that no one seems to be talking about McConnell’s sudden and abrupt refusal to raise the debt ceiling because socialism. They spent like drunken sailors when Trump was in office and now they don’t want to pay the bills?
Of course this board is filled with people hating on Biden. Many of the members thought the Trump administration was the greatest thing since sliced bread. They vowed revenge when Biden got elected - that they would do to Biden what they believe was done to Trump by progressives - constant criticism. Some criticism is warranted, but this board is over-the-top because it’s dominated by political partisans who voted for Trump.
I believe - but happy to stand corrected - they won't agree to lift the debt ceiling enough for the $3.5-4.3Trillion to get in.
Obviously, if we have a good idea our deficit will be $2T this year, and we need to raise the debt ceiling for that, they will. They're just not gonna go ahead and say raise it $6T
I am a former liberal turned conservative and until VERY recently -- meaning until about two months ago -- I would have said that there was a very even balance between right-wing and left-wing posters.
Now, however, I do think that there are more right-wingers posting.....
Nope -- this has always been a right-leaning forum and the moderators appear to support that tilt somewhat. (You can tell that by the sticky threads they choose to feature.) I think that the number of right-wing fruitcakes that post here is about the same. They just post three or more threads a day so it seems like there are a lot more. Moderates have mostly excluded themselves. There is no point in debating someone who swears by Q-Anon or endorses every conspiracy theory that comes along. The right-wing threads are mostly pointless drivel that often duplicates something already posted or simply amplifies some ridiculous wing-nut publication.
2 years from now, Trump's cult members will still be at it! Boy oh boy, that's one thing Trump did well, is start a long-lasting Cult.

now, perhaps if you reported stuff, it would help. I know that it helps when I report threads. Perhaps you could report the Afghanistan thread (surely the only sticky you would object to), then they might unpin it.
To my knowledge, nobody is getting paid big bucks to moderate. They're not on here playing hall monitor, we the posters have to play our part.
Surely, I would agree that there's 7-10 RWNJ's on here that show their intelligence in their constant topic starting. But there are 3-5 LWNJ's that do exactly the same.

Well, if you haven't noticed, City-Data leans right... by about 80%. Plus, any sitting president is gonna get hammered for just about anything he does especially if it doesn't turn out perfect. Biden hasn't had any good news lately, but its his own doing...
