Democrat ex governor now candidate Terry McCuAliffe says parents shouldn't control what their children learn in school.

https://local21news.com/news/nation-...ach-their-kids

Be aware the recall and associated biased media in California have been planting the seeds wanting to make it harder to recall school board officials there. This will be the next battle ground. School boards. This is will be on the DNC to do list. Just as Soros flooded local DA races with money look for school board races and recall petitions etc to be fought with outside money including Soros money.

Democrat ex governor now candidate Terry McCuAliffe needs to be put in stocks on the town square for a few days and have rotten fruit thrown in his face. Then he needs to have a scolds bridle permanently affixed.

The state needs to control what our children are taught to think.

Hello? “Public” school means parents do not pick and choose what is in the curriculum - teachers do. A dissenting parent has to pull the kid out of school and homeschool. This is not a new thing.

yet we are forced to pay for it. why do you accept this? we pay outrageous sums of money for "public" education, yet seem to get worse and worse results the more we spend.

Okay, then "public" schools shouldn't take the parents' money either. Where do you think the money for public schools comes from?

At this point, unionized public schools are too far gone. Privatize 'em all. Abolish public schools.

The state taught children what to think in the 1930's. Didn't work out to well IMHO.

Teachers unions are probably the single biggest problem with public education.

Is not pulling a kid out of school to home school just another form of "controlling what they are taught"?

Yes, parents shovel out a lot of money for public schools, so do homeowners whether they have children or not.

The money for public schools comes from taxpayers, which include parents. Many of us who have never had children, or no longer raise children, continue to pay to educate the children of the society. I don't believe that parents should dictate curriculum. There are way to many diverging opinions. Citizens (to include parents) elect school board members to advocate for them and the students. You make yourself heard that way and help to shape curriculum based on the type of education society wants its population to have.
