Military pay cuts, millions losing their jobs. Millions of Social Security recipients losing their benefits and winding up in shelters or out in the cold. Hundreds of thousands of disabled veterans losing their money and benefits. Huge numbers of federal employees going with no pay. If we don’t get this debt ceiling crisis handled by October 18, it is possible that we are going to be on the brink of the end. One Senator when interviewed said something along the lines of “we aren’t in the mood to help Democrats right now”. Folks this is babyish pathetic behavior by the tin foil hat right. This is a extremely Catastrophic time in American history. The Republicans are holding out, these diaper wearing three year old toddlers are playing politics and nothing more. The republican party needs to be replaced with a more Conscientious party.

Yes..we now hear it every year at this time.

The US will grind to a halt unless we give ourselves more money to spend.

Soldiers aren't paid enough for the danger and sacrifice they make. Take it away from the politicians, the people making their fortunes in DC, etc. How about a wealth tax for politicians, starting with Nancy Pelosi??? There are plenty of other people who actually deserve a pay cut. Soldiers definitely do not deserve a pay cut.

Aside from all this, the money is not what makes this country great. It's the wealth, the resources, the land, the creative/innovative spirit, and most importantly, it's the people (a nation's greatest asset of all). The politicians and government does not make this country great, nor will it ever. Government only holds people down, places restrictions on them, and inhibits their ability to achieve greatness. The best thing anyone can hope for is slow, inefficient, ineffective and most importantly, small and limited government, as the founding father's intended. Have some respect for their vision and wisdom.

Once the US passed a certain threshold of takers who bring nothing to society, we were finished as a country.

The useless people continue to grow in number, while the ones who sustain our country continue to decrease.

It’s over. You can call it managed decline if you want. There isn’t much of a future for this country.

Yes, why do Democrats not care about our veterans? After all, the DEMOCRATS have the majority!

I haven’t heard it to the degree before. I’ll guess we’ll sit back and see come the 18th.

Republicans regard the debt ceiling crisis the same way they regard the Covid vaccine mandates.

If only Mitch McConnell actually cared about helping the American people and not doing what is politically advantageous to the republicans.

For the record: Mitch McConnell raised the debt ceiling THREE TIMES during Trump's presidency. But now that it's a dem in the White House, suddenly Mitch is against raising the debt ceiling.

Mitch McConnell has done more damage to America than any other politician in the 21st century.

This is the 3rd day in a row the OP has started the same thread. Again I ask if you remember creating the other two?

For someone who's 'NeutralParty', you've fallen for the Democrat's narrative hook, line, and sinker!

What does Senator McConnell and the Republican Party have to do with this? The DEMOCRATS control the House, Senate, and Presidency.

The ONLY reason they want the Republicans to go along with this is so that when the economy bites the dust with inflation and spending, they can blame the Republicans.

I hope the Republican Party isn't stupid enough to fall for this TRAP!
