Our conservative friends have been encouraging their kids to move out of America and emigrate somewhere else, and now we're following the trend. Sad to see how this once great country has fallen into authoritarianism like this.
Can't rep you again, so I'll just congratulate you for a great series of posts on this topic.

Much as I understand and share your disgust with what is going on in America today, I personally don't see emigrating out of here as the solution. I acknowledge that I might well see it very differently if I were 40 years younger, but I'm about to turn 72. When you get into your 70s and are plagued with the ailments typical for that age group, you just don't see building a future like you do (and I did) when you're 32....or even 52.

But age aside, two reasons I wouldn't bail right now.......
  • We're living a nightmare that America is going to wake up from. It's not going to stay this way.
  • If there is a place anywhere in the world with perpetually green grass, I've never heard of it. Anywhere where human beings congregate is going to be rife with problems. It's never been any different and very likely won't be in another thousand years.
Now, if there were still (reachable) opportunities out there for building a whole new world from scratch, count me in.

It couldn't be that this is a punitive attempt to coerce people into getting a jab which Sweden and Denmark are backing off due to adverse effects. I guess ignoring that isn't stupid or deliberately obtuse at all.

Edit: How about gunshot victims. Why should they be treated if they aren't vaccinated?
Any takers on the gunshot victims? What about unvaxxed heart attacks? Should unvaxxed have any healthcare at all?

Transplant patients are not only more susceptible to Covid 19, but have a more difficult time in clearing it. So if they are infected even more people are at risk.

So no hospital should admit any unvaccinated patients nor any Covid patients?

Of course any true emergency like this cannot ever require a vaccine.

The victim will be tested for Covid 19. And assuming that's negative and otherwise in normal health, that's that.

The transplant patients are extremely immunodeficient, remain at high risk for an extended period of time, and will be tested despite the vaccines.

At times during the Pandemic some areas/hospitals have had to limit non-emergent admissions. Too much risk, not enough space and/or staff.

In more normal times during the Pandemic those patients are tested before admission, and encouraged to be vaccinated if not already.

According to some, no.
They should be left to die because they deserve to die because they won’t get the shot and they are selfish murdering super spreaders. Glad there is so much love and understanding in America today.

I really don't think you have a clue what fascism is.
I know it much better than those on the left, because they have been misguided into thinking fascism always comes from the right. In reality you can have it come from either side, and the best examples are where it started in Italy with Mussolini and Hitler. Both were socialists (left) and played upon nationalist themes (right).
Ultimately they believed in a totalitarian collective good, and they were anti-religion (L), disarming the citizens (L), anti-individual freedom, etc.
Sound familiar to what the left is trying to do in our country?
Antifa & BLM are using fascist tactics while decrying fascism. Then against they are both Marxists, which hopefully you do not try to deny.

While denial of organ transplants without the mandated Wuhan virus shots do not make a perfect comparison with fascism, having life saving treatment, based on blindly following the government mandating everyone do xyz, is coming from the left, not the right.
The trouble is many leftists don't see it, and are willing to be mindless automatons parroting the ministry of propagandas edict.
Yet old school liberals find the leftist disturbing with mandated conformity, suppression of freedom of speech/expression, etc.
They are on the left, but not leftists (i.e. socialists/communists)

Sadly there isnt enough of us!!!
Since when is "not enough of us" a reason to capitulate to the majority that are incorrect?

I cannot even say with certainty that the said majority are wrong, because not enough definitive scientific data/studies confirm it.
But we should all be damned if we think group think or governmental coercion should rule the field.

The fully vaccinated can still continue to carry covid, transmit covid and get sick again from covid, as we've seen. Example, the fully vaccinated lady who died from covid and blamed it on unvaccinated, even though the unvaccinated didn't even have covid. Or that couple who died a minute apart who were vaccinated.

this isnt about the disease this is about the vaccine mandating of workers by Medicare. If hospitals dont force their workers to be vaccinated then medicare will not pay. This is how Biden gets around the legalities of mandating vaccines.
