Most "human trafficking" is prostitutes working voluntarily. The local authorities just want a big splash in the media. Like the one in Florida a couple years ago. The prosecutor got caught lying.

I worked as a prostitute for a great many years, then graduated to Massage with Happy Endings which I was still doing at age 65.

There are 2 types of clients for prostitution, those into looks only and those that want to be serviced and that latter type is not fussy at all about who services them. There are prostitutes in Hollywood still working in their 50's and they specialize in Carnal Knowledge. They are not just prostitutes, they are Hookers in the true sense of word.

Even in my early 60's I had men (I'm Gay) even in their 20's coming for specialize Happy Endings and they could care less what you look like, and I had one younger man coming to see me for 15 years!

Sex = Power. It's been said that when you're not getting any or enough sex, it turns into power hunger and can be channeled into politics. Sexless politicians can reach an "orgasm" thru political power, which many couldn't possibly comprehend.

Anytime something remains illegal, you have to stop and think who would be opposed to it, and I don't buy the religious right opposing it, there are other unseen opponents.

If you get your weekly paycheck, and you have $50 to spend, and you spend it on a Prostitute, some other capitalistic enterprise will miss out.

Prostitution is still legal in far flung rural counties of NV (approved because of the shortage of women during the mining boom) but, not surprisingly, illegal in Washoe County (Reno) and Clark County (Sinless City/Las Vegas).

True. However, I would not imply it is not an issue to be concerned with. Human trafficking is still very much an issue but how it is addressed by criminalizing the "victim" and trampling over rights of others is not the way to go. Prostitution is the only labor form handled in this manner.... no one arrests a trafficked nanny or nail salon worker.

In just a few minutes, I'm headed to fix a couple clothing washer machines at a parlor such as discussed here. Friend of mine owns them and I assure none of the women are working their against their will. Many are married with family themselves. She prefers anyone coming in to perform maintenance are people she trusts won't cause unwanted attention. You are free to search my post history as well...

As I said, there are other industries with a "large number" of human trafficking. They all remain legal forms of labor.
Ok if my stretch of 9/10 is too high. In your expertise, how is a prostitute born?

Most welfare could be eliminated?

Most able- bodied recipients of welfare have children. While many are employed, they don’t have the marketable skills to do more than relatively low wage jobs. Does not mean most are open to prostitution.

Likely a small percentage of welfare recipients engage in prostitution, more likely to support a drug habit than their children.

Bottom line I think it should be legal. But if it remains illegal, it is the pimps and the johns that should be going to jail. The prostitutes are the victims in all this.

To answer OP's question:

Because a good portion of men, apparently, are perverts who can't satisfy themselves and must involve others in their depravities.

Im guessing its a tax thing, (since they are not paying any income tax as a sex worker), Surely in this day and age, NO ONE would tolerate 'religious laws' being so aggressively enforced...Or would they?

Id like to ask a cop why this is so aggressively enforced, ( not all cops are religious/christian), so, Im not sure why they would have a problem with it. (and really, the only plausible concern over prostitution is due to 'religion')...its sinful in nature. I dont see any cops going out hassling people that go bar hopping or clubbing, and scoring with different partners every night...seems like their problem is with the paying for it aspect and that is sinful in their opinion and must not be tolerated.
It has everything to do with taxes. That's why they don't hassle anyone who hooks up with multiple individuals weekly. Just as long as no money transactions occur, they can't care less.

Prostitutes aren't born. No more than I was born a manager.

The problem with your thinking is that you can't accept that prostitution is a job no more no less. You discriminate against them because you define them only as a prostitute void of any personal lives. They are not considered people to you and thus are not privy to any rights.

Anyways... Its obvious anything I say won't change your view. got to go... its not worth entertaining your views until you are open to discussion about it.

Well, thats just another reason Prostitution should be legal,,,if legal, it could be regulated and controlled, keeping it illegal makes human trafficking more likely, since the people know they can pimp these girls out without anyone finding out.
