The vast majority of those who attended the Capitol protest were peaceful and never entered the building. Only a few hundred rioted, and they did little damage, broke some windows & doors, and that was pretty much it.

In contrast, leftist protesters burned entire city blocks and caused tens of billions in damages during the 2020 summer BLM riots across the nation.

True. Except, what did those supposed "insurrectionists" do once they gained entrance to the Capital building, they roamed around taking selfies. So no, it was not an insurrection, it was people caught up in the moment, and once they breached the doors, it all faded away.

Unlike the Democrat rioters of 2020, who once they breached the doors of a government building they either torched it, or set up roadblocks and created a lawless autonomous zone. The Democrats were the true insurrectionists, and they repeated their looting, arson, theft, property destruction, and violent acts, and their takeover of government building and entire city blocks, over and over again. And yet, we are told to fear republicans, for a one-off aberration on Jan 6th????

And what about the repeated threats of CivilWar in these C-D forums?

A couple of people talking about stupid crap??? Which republicans approved of that???? Geez, talk about grabbing for straws. Meanwhile, I can post thousands of links to the 600+ violent riots of Democrats, and Democrat supported groups all during the dems summer of love 2020.

Not only did Democrats approve of these protests, but Biden's own campaign staff and VP did, when they were donating to bailing out the violent rioters.

They got out ahead of their scripted talking points and had to back-pedal. Trump says it was something else, so now it is something else.

Like Michigan assassination plot, it was all FBI guys doing the crimes.
It has been exposed. That's why.

Same way they had everyone screaming Russia Russia Russia.... Until it became proved a lie.
The FBI was the insurrection.
Trump supporters just had a big rally.
You cannot be trespassed from public property. First you have to be asked to leave.

Lawlessness and violence is not what republicans do, which is why Jan 6th was a one-off, never repeated before or since.
If he was aghast he sure didn't verbalize it, he led the charge with the march on the congressional vote certification then praised the rioters. But, but whatabout the riots, that didn't take long to deflect, one response in.

What type of mental gymnastics is this? Are you saying that because they condemn one they should condemn the rest of rallies?

BTW, trump is no longer president......

Also, no matter how much the Democrats try to say Trump encouraged it, it was proven that that it wasn’t a planned coup.
