Nine months ago Grassley, Pence. McConnell and Graham condemned the riots, now we have Grassley attending Trump rallies and Graham attending Trump fund raisers.

Quote:
Nine months ago yesterday, Grassley called the Jan. 6 attack "an attack on American democracy itself." He added, "I condemn today's violence in the strongest terms and perpetrators deserve to be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law."

Soon after, the Iowa Republican said, "President Trump continued to argue that the election had been stolen even though the courts didn't back up his claims. He belittled and harassed elected officials across the country to get his way. He encouraged his own, loyal vice president, Mike Pence, to take extraordinary and unconstitutional actions during the Electoral College count.... There's no doubt in my mind that President Trump's language was extreme, aggressive, and irresponsible."

Nothing changed, even Trump was aghast at the violence on Jan 6th. No one approved of republicans behaving like the violent, lawless protests carried out by the despicable Democrats all during 2020.

Lawlessness and violence is not what republicans do, which is why Jan 6th was a one-off, never repeated before or since.

They have not changed their minds.

They are just feeding that old alligator hoping it will eat them last.

Just correcting the underlined...

Rabid liberal elites approved since it then gave them the insurrection narrative.

Its not 'lawlessness' if its in defense of the country.

We celebrate violence in politics every July 4th! ( Google how many died in the American Revolution)

They found out the "insurrections" was an FBI plot against conservatives.

And what about the repeated threats of CivilWar in these C-D forums?

Abolitionists in the north initially condemned John Brown's Raid on Harper's Ferry. Within 2 years they were singing songs to his memory.
