In fact, Biden and the government getting involved in having the port of LA operate 24 hours a day seems kind of like government overreach or at least government involvement...which seems to be the opposite of what you are asking for.

Last time I checked, private enterprises is responsible for getting private goods of ships, not the government.
interesting that Amazon isnt having much trouble. They foresaw this supply crisis occuring a few yrs ago and took steps to prevent it. Built their own containers, hired their own ships, using their own airplanes. Only takes about 2 days for an Amazon ship to get into port. So govt, unions, mortgages etc arent playing much of a role. Walmart, Target etc are following suit.

They should hire that group of looters that cleaned out the Nordstroms in LA, They will have that port cleared in record time.

When the government goes around bleating on about how they're the solution to everything, they are to blame if they fail to solve the problem.

I was at that harbor a few months ago and there were way more than 50 anchored in that harbor. Maybe 150-200 and the smog was brown and thick. It was a disgusting sight.

I don't think that Government should involved in how trade traffic is handled. Except for the military, the Government just doesn't have the expertise.
Apparently, this 2021 holiday sales has been pretty good, even with spot shortages and supply change issues.

So, do you think that we should be in a hurry to off load China made goods?

All i want is to get a baker to make some donuts.

Who’s job is it?

Of course, and especially when there’s a supply shortage.

What country’s made goods should we be in a hurry to unload, and what goods come from those countries?

Learn how to make doughnuts. Problem solved.
