TamaraSavannah, do you have more examples other than forever stamps to support your idea?
Oh, sure!
Like paying for everything by credit card or doing it electronically. My yard man wishes I would pay him over my cell phone.....but that's a violation of personal security in that if my cell phone should ever fall into unenlightened hands, there is very little it could tell them.

I rather like the American Kestrel and the Bobcat, finding the ones to make it all fly. I think the last letter was a 2 Bobcats, Tiffany Silver, a Tiffany Lamp, Pears, some others to bring a Leonard Bernstein (.34) up to speed.
I just wonder, though, if it does something to us to be in the mind set of "just slap a stamp on it and be done with it!".....assuming we do it all, mind you.

The Dems are like a drug dealer: free stuff to start off, and you got an addict for life.
Perhaps especially in our modern world where there is no going back to the way it was before because that gets destroyed in the process. I mean, if one gets fed up with streaming and cable, they don't just go down to the Blockbuster instead.
Not sure that was the best example, but I do agree with your point. I take it farther though. Our technology is making a huge chunk of society functional idiots. And if anything goes catastrophically wrong with that technology, dysfunctionally dead.
Clothes were once washed on washboards. Then washing machines were invented making such chores much more bearable. I'll gladly smooch somebody's arse so as not to have to use a washboard.
More like a progressive of in for an ounce, in for a pound or the slippery slope.
