So are you claiming that banks failed to do their "due diligence" on the appraisal of his properties that they were going to loan money on? Pretty hard to believe!! In regards to the IRS, yes they don't like to be fooled with but in this case, Trump has accountants and you have to be able to support your valuations...you can't just pick a number out of the air. Another point....valuations van very significantly within a VERY short period of time.
