I don't think Tucker can take credit for the turnaround. They just found out that making candy woke wasn't good for their business.

Mars should've never created WOKE cartoon characters to pander.

Just stick to making candy. Is that too much to ask?

I just bought two "Party Size" bags of M&Ms, plain. Couldn't care less what the ads say, or the little pictures on the bag. As long as they don't change the candy.

Relative to its advertising, I’d much rather have (the long-standing creativity of) the spokescandies than a ‘celebrity’.

Didn’t his campaign originate with complaints re: the green m&m was ‘less sexy’ or ‘too androgynous’ in the redesign i.e. ‘her’ shoes changed or something. They’re animated pieces of candy that wear shoes, lol. I’m surprised he is willing to acknowledge his thoughts in public when they’re this bizarre (yet alone gloat, per the thread).

The absurdity of it, to think putting a cartoon character in flats instead of heels makes it WOKE, thats just goofy.

I would expect to see more of this. When any company starts to offend one group of radicals or the other, the best thing is to avoid the issue by ending the controversy when you cannot please both sides. Maybe Mars/M & Ms have learned from the polarizing that we see for companies like Penzey spices, My Pillow, Hobby Lobby and Chick-fil-A.

Yes, she used to wear stiletto heels. I guess some people were turned on by her, lol.

It would all be hilarious if it wasn't real.

Actually I take that back. It's still hilarious.

Too funny. Exactly my point, lol; why would Tucker Carlson brag about leading this backlash, per the thread - or even notice the difference, for that matter, on an animated piece of candy?

Noise over such ridiculousness is good advertising in and of itself.
