How can Democrats criticize Kamala Harris? Some criticism of Obama was certainly motivated by racism, but much was not. Why wouldn’t the motives of current critics of Kamala Harris be examined in the same way?
I didn’t vote for Biden/Harris but I don’t have anything against them, as people. I would prefer different policies but have nothing against them personally.

Harris is Indian/Asian. I know some of her family background is Jamaican, but the media focused more on her Asian/Indian background. She's also not as dark as Obama. The lighter one's skin tone, the less likely the media/democrats are to pull out the race card. Many people also claim her Jamaican ancestors were slave owners, so maybe that's why the media doesn't bring it up much. FWIW, Glenn Beck also claims Biden's ancestors in the USA were slave owners.

She can be darker if she wanted to be. Actually the makeup is what makes her face look ashen and pasty. Her real hair is afro, as can be seen from earlier photos. She needs to straightens her hair everyday just like Meghan Markle.

I didn't know any of this about her, although I had no reason to care. Whether she identifies more with her Indian/Asian ethnicity or her Jamaican/African ethnicity is really none of my interest or concern. I'm much more concerned about her role as vice president and her ability/qualifications for the job.
I read that her low ratings also come from progressives who don't think she is progressive enough. I suppose they can avoid any racism label as they are also complaining that she doesn't do enough for race issues. Immigration too. They are saying she should be doing more to help immigrants.
Progressives saw Kamala Harris as a unique champion. Lately, they're disappointed.

lmao… no. Black hair comes in many different textures. Neither has to straighten their hair every day.

Harris is a complete disaster. She is supposed to be in charge of the border? She should be immediately removed for incompetence. Unless this is really what they wanted in the first place. Harris and Biden are both complete disasters who are being run by outsiders and they are nothing but puppets. Both are a disgrace and our country is suffering because of it!
Kamala is a cop who threatened parents over truancy charges. She's a hypocritical pro-corporate sellout who talked more about her identity than any policies intended to help workers. She's an archetypal Democrat who will only fail upward, they would never dare criticize her unless she threatens other Democrats.
But like you said, it has become about race, not about doing the job.
And that all started with Biden, when he announced he was going to make race a deciding factor in his pick for VP. As usual, democrats are doing exactly what they accuse republicans of doing.

She is in charge of the borders. Biden demands open borders, and Harris is simply following through. If you want to blame her for it, Biden would appreciate it.
