I think the Fed could actually enforce it on domestic if desired. Air travel was suspended after 9/11, and TSA applied the mask mandate during the pandemic. Domestic air travel however was never outright halted in the US during the pandemic but was in other countries, such as India.

He says that masks (which are removed for eating and drinking on the flights, hence defeating the purpose) and vaccinating travel industry workers are working well, so no need to require vaccines to fly.

Coward. He just lost my donation and my vote for any future run. He's afraid of the political backlash from the vaccine-refusers (as if any of them would ever have voted for him). Frankly, they should be required for buses and trains too; in fact, for use of any form of mass public transit. Best place to begin implementing this policy would be flights, since they're tightly controlled and purchased well in advance.

He should resign fast, giving the excuse of needing to spend more time with his family. And Biden should appoint someone with no aspirations of running for elected office in the future, so that they can make the tough call to mandate Covid vaccines for flying.
I'm glad Pete Buttigieg is of the opinion vaccine mandates for air travel are not necessary. While I agree there are risks with air travel, the vaccines and the boosters should protect one.

I'd like to know if Buttigieg believes remote workers need to be vaccinated, because the Biden administration didn't provide exemptions for remote workers in the employee vaccination mandates. If anyone is a coward it is others in the Biden administration for forsaking science for overreach. How does a remote employee pass on covid?

Don't fly OP. And why would any one vote for him- unless you're Liberal crybaby.

However, this also shows the flaw in the "vaccine pushers" argument. If it is okay to not be vaccinated while you are in a steel tube with recirculated air inches apart from people you don't know. Then why if you are not vaccinated is it not as safe to sit in a restaurant, go into a museum, sit in a play or concert? If people don't see this as one more example of the mandates being more about control than science, they really aren't looking.
The notion that OSHA would hold some companies but not others to the ETS is another example of it not being about safety.

Not if working for the Federal Government. That only applies to private companies 100 or more. I think it doesn’t apply to companies handling government contracts either.
