Quote:
New York City may soon permit hundreds of thousands of noncitizens to vote in municipal elections, while Mayor Bill de Blasio and his successor, Eric Adams, feel differently about the prospect.

The bill aims to amend the city's charter by including a new chapter with provisions for allowing green card holders and those with work authorization to register to vote and take part in citywide elections through the creation of a separate municipal voter registration. Adams supported the concept when he was campaigning for mayor earlier this year.

This is so wrong on so many levels

Default New York City Democrats to Give Voting Rights to Nearly One Million Non-Citizens

https://www.breitbart.com/politics/2...-non-citizens/

How is this legal?

Stated in the article: "As Breitbart News reported last month, Mayor-elect Eric Adams (D) supports the legislation. Outgoing New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio (D) has repeatedly suggested that the legislation will almost certainly be challenged in court for violating New York state law."

I suppose the city of New York can decide who can and can’t vote in their CITY elections. What business is it of anyone else?

I also found the Breitbart article to be misleading:

“ The legislation would be a boon for the city’s massive 3.1 million-strong foreign-born population, which makes up almost 40 percent of the city’s resident population, while diluting the municipal votes of millions of American citizens who live in the city.”

Implying that the foreign born population are not US citizens, when in fact many of them surely are.

It isn’t anything new , I know of someone been voting in NY for over 37 years, he’s just a green card holder , not a citizen but has always voted in Local and presidential elections , all was required was to sign saying he was a citizen , maybe shown his s security card too ? Same as dead people have been voting for years, nothing new there either !

This is the only reason illegals are here, so Democrats can get votes.

Meh.

If nyc is their home then why not?

Nothing in the constitution bars a municipality from it.

This makes Americans votes cancelled by a non citizen. This is not an election, it is a fraud.
