So, what the OP is saying is that the media LIED to the American public. And did so for a period of years, trying to push the "tax cuts for the rich" lie. And deny that working Americans were the biggest beneficiaries of tax relief. It's not really a surprise-the media lies, fabricates stories and manipulates the public constantly. It's what they do-they don't report, they manipulate. Thing is, we all know that. And nothing is done to hold the media accountable for their lies. We make a big deal about Russia buying a few thousand dollars of Facebook ads-but ignore the billions in "donations" from the MSM to manipulate elections.

Especially when the government received record tax revenue once the tax cuts were passed. Face it-the left lie. It's what they do.

Trump was right to halt travel from China in the early days of the pandemic and they called him a racist. Biden was right to halt travel from Africa with the outbreak of the variant but he was deemed a hero not a racist?

Trump tried to secure the border and make the "migrants" stay in Mexico... A better policy then open borders..

Trump wanted to MAGA for everyone. Biden is trying to Build Back Better something that wasn't broken to begin with and it is costing us Trillions !

Unbelievable.
All very true. Which is scary

Biden is too brain dead to do anything, This is Obama's 3rd term. Remember what Obama said "Don't underestimate Joe's ability to f**k up anything".

People didn’t realize this on their own fillings? Don’t people look at their effective tax rates early? This is why our dumb society deserves President Houseplant. Let’s go Brandon.

This seems likely to be cherry-picked data, but I'm too apathetic to dig into it.
Yep, which is why this thread is a fail from the start. It's about median income which doesn't represent "Middle Class" in any high COL area that I know of. In most of those areas, those families would be considered "poor". In fact, I'd go as far as to say they were "dirt poor" in those areas (probably qualify for Section 8 housing). No worries though. As stated, as those people move out of high COL areas to other lower COL areas, the pittance this group in the $15k-$50k income level got won't go too far as housing prices and the like go up. You reap what you sow.

Do you?

Do you truly understand the slight of hand with personal exemptions eliminated? Do you have any idea what income level is truly considered Middle Class based on area? Do you truly understand the type of lifestyle someone lives in a high COL area?

https://www.businessinsider.com/trum...amilies-2017-9

An example of what I'm talking about, but not as much of a hit as someone that buys a home for a million or more in a high COL area or make what would be more of a Middle Class income level in those areas (think income approaching the $200k level). Did you know that of the 30% of people that itemize who get hit the worse by this plan, over 86% make less than $200k?

Poor Ann and Bob (who would be considered low income in one of those high COL area)...

Ann and Bob don't have a weird, outlier financial situation. They own a home with a mortgage, have two kids, pay income tax in a state with moderate tax rates, and give to charity in an amount proportionate to their income.

https://www.businessinsider.com/trum...-taxes-2017-10

But the main culprit behind the tax increases on middle- and upper-middle income families is not the proposal to raise $1.3 trillion by abolishing the state and local tax deduction.

The main issue is the plan's abolition of personal exemptions, a change that would raise $1.6 trillion, according to the Tax Policy Center.

The most important tax break you barely notice
