A jury found former Minnesota police Officer Kim Potter guilty on both manslaughter charges Thursday for fatally shooting 20-year-old Daunte Wright during a traffic stop in Brooklyn Center, a Minneapolis suburb, in April.
The verdict came after jurors deliberated for more than 27 hours over the course of four days. The mostly white jury of six women and six men heard eight days of testimony, and on Tuesday between deliberations asked the judge for guidance on what steps should be taken if jurors could not reach a consensus.
If that’s your reason for quitting then it’s probably good that your not a cop.
Was just thinking the same. If you are mad because you cannot get away with murder, then you should quit and save the country more of this pain. If you cannot act with authority, ethics and proper protocol in the face of a stressful situation, you should not be a cop or own a gun. Period.
I made a mistake is not an alibi worthy of no punishment when lives are at stake.

Honestly, it sounded outlandishly believable to me. Who in their right mind would purposefully shoot someone with a gun and then come up with that story immediately after?
