Looks like the covid self aggrandizing book is going to make the tax coffers a windfall in NY. The Joint Commission on Public Ethics voted 12-1 demanding the ex-governor to return the money.
Go figure. Think he'll still run for president?
New York state's Joint Commission on Public Ethics (JCOPE) voted 12-1 demanding the Democrat to give back the $5.1 million from the release of his memoir "American Crisis: Leadership Lessons from the COVID-19 Pandemic," which was widely panned as an early victory lap of his response to the virus it was still killing thousands of Americans.
in response...
Cuomo spokesman Rich Azzopardi issued a fiery statement defending his former boss.
"This is political hypocrisy and duplicity at its worst," Azzopardi wrote. "Governor Cuomo received a JCOPE opinion and advice of counsel stating that government resources could not be used -- and they weren't -- and any staffer who assisted in this project did so on their own time, which was reflected on their timesheets."
Cuomo’s team was also accused of low-balling coronavirus-related nursing home deaths while he negotiated the book deal, leading to accusations he was trying to look better to make a quick buck off the tragedy.
How arrogant to you have to be to hide COVID deaths while at the same time scheming to make millions off of a book deal about good his COVID response was?
He obviously uses govt rescourses
Even if he didn't he wrote a book about what a Great job he didn't during a pandemic. He didn't even do a great job but even if he had he wrote this book several months into a pandemic that's now going on almost 2 years.Hes absolutely despicable.

There is another word other than arrogant that comes to mind, but it would probably get me banned.
How the once Mighty have fallen. It is crazy how many Democrats get an inflated ego from the masses that idolize them but when it comes down to it there needs to be more than feelings to bolster these bozos.
The Obama's and Hillary had their own book deals that sold better than Cuomo's but in the end who wants to read about someones perceived success?
I wonder when we will see a book from Kamala?
When will these publishers get the clue that people are not willing to plunk down their hard earned money for a piece of fluff that is written around lies and feelings? Readers want substance not fairy tales from hypocrites.
