If the governor and the Lt Governor were as smart as they think they are they could figure out a way to stop Texans from hiring them. Or providing medical care or public education.
If they can get around federal law on abortion, why not illegals?
The Great State of Texas does not even know who is in what business. I can call myself a roofer working out of a pick up. As long as somebody hires me, I can hire anybody in the Home depot parking lot to do the work. And the governor has no way to know anything about it.
No one is saying a wall will work on it's own. How many tunnels were successfully built and used under walls when tunnel sensors, use of drones and AI, etc, were also used?

Abbott has been for the border wall since day 1. He has been fighting this administration every step of the way to no avail. He is finally able to fix it himself and good for him. He came up with the money and he got land owners donations. Good for him. This sounds like a politician people need. Abbott is someone that wants to protect America.
He's just doing his job. If it gets him elected again, then great. We need more politicians that stand up for their people. What's wrong with that? Every politician should do what's fight for their people and get things done. Abbott is doing just that.
