Also, it seems angels put Eugene Goodman in the right place, to sacrifice his safety to lure the mob away from the yet unsecured leaders. The US absolutely dodged a bullet in having Goodman on the spot.

They were just 100 feet from him? Last I'd read everyone, including Pence, had been moved out long before the rioters got into that room where Babbitt had been murdered.
