Failed COVID response: Documented widely, he didn't take it seriously. It's subjective, but the vast majority of the pandemic experts said he failed, and also did so compared to other countries. Certainly, his insistance on politicizing it rather than dealing with it, was problematic. Certainly, his insistance on calling it the China-Virus was a deflection, and certainly didn't help to RESOLVE the pandemic in any way.
high inflation: This is the only one that is 100% non-subjective. His pressuring the feds on QE was a major contributor. I will grant that he, Biden, nor ANY President is solely responsible. This has been going on for decades. But to your question, it is his legacy that the QE overcharged the economy in a way that was vocally predicted. It resulted in the printing of unprecedented amounts of new currency, and resulted in documented inflation that we are seeing now, and is likely a major contributor to our labor issues right now.
supply chain problems: His failure to address COVID contributed to this. As did the aforementioned QE polices, which resulted in further supply chain issues, for lack of a workforce. Also, his continued antagonism of China did not help matters. China absolutely needs to be dealt, but it is my opinion that his childish antagonism made things worse, not better. To that, I'd actually prefer the last 40 years of failed policy, as it was less damaging than his childish actions.
freedom for criminals: I guess the biggest evidence is that he's not in jail. Additionally, his documented crimes, the people on his own team, and him PUBLICLY endorsing police brutality (encouraged them to knock peoples heads as they put them in the squad car)
rampant racism: Documented, but some might say subjective. Still his legacy.
rampant authoritarianism: He's been known for this in business, and was the same way in his presidency. His way, or your out. Case in point, he encouraged an unruly crowd to go into the capital to overturn the election. Many interpreted his ACTUAL WORDS to say "go kill Mike Pence" because "if you don't act now, you won't have a country".
And before you "whatabout" me on any of this. The question was what TRUMP did. Anything that Biden, Obama, or anyone else did is not relevant to "what Trump did to put these things in motion", so please don't.
My bigger point to everyone is quit trying to point the finger at any one party or one person. The system has done this for decades. It happened before Trump, it's happening after Trump. He may have been the worst, but certainly not the only.
