Going out on a limb here to say, most Opioid/ opiate addicts don’t have life insurance.

In case you are unaware, the pandemic is not a uniquely American problem. And, if what you say is true, wouldn't the powers that be have dropped the pandemic thing shortly after the 2020 election? We are almost a year into Biden's presidency and the pandemic is still raging, so no, this has nothing to do with "mean tweets."

Deaths are up because Biden is concentrating illegals with covid and delivering them all across the country. Biden is guilty of biological warfare against the US.

between May 2020 and April 2021, nearly two-thirds (64%) of the more 100,000 drug overdose deaths in the country were tied to illicitly manufactured fentanyl or its chemical cousins.

Biden's death toll climbs......
Overdose deaths climb every year. That’s hardly what is driving the death benefit insurance claims in 2020 and 2021.

The demand for hard drugs by US people is insatiable. Addicts understand the risks. Opioid/ opiate addiction rewires the brain to protect addiction, in most cases, at all costs. Nearly every opiate/ opioid addict knows people who have overdosed. Has not put a dent in demand.

The typical opioid/ opiate addict is a white male in his early 20’s with a long history of poly substance abuse.

Trump loving media predicted media would cease reporting on Covid once the 2020 election was won/ done. Obviously, they were mistaken.

Continue to make the point that this has been and continues to be a GLOBAL pandemic.

I continue to believe the US will cross the 1 million mark for cumulative fatalities attributed to Covid complication, this quarter. Who won/ lost in 2020 made no difference.

Trump did not cause Covid.

Trump could not control Covid.

Trump could not cure Covid.

Ditto Biden.

Both counted on vaccines being the answer. Then came Delta and now Omicron and we have known for 6 months the efficacy of vaccine begins to wane at the 5-6 month mark.

Indiana life insurance CEO says deaths are up 40% among people ages 18-64

The head of Indianapolis-based insurance company OneAmerica said the death rate is up a stunning 40% from pre-pandemic levels among working-age people.

“We are seeing, right now, the highest death rates we have seen in the history of this business – not just at OneAmerica,” the company’s CEO Scott Davison said during an online news conference this week. “The data is consistent across every player in that business.”

...
Davison said the increase in deaths represents “huge, huge numbers,” and that’s it’s not elderly people who are dying, but “primarily working-age people 18 to 64” who are the employees of companies that have group life insurance plans through OneAmerica.

“And what we saw just in third quarter, we’re seeing it continue into fourth quarter, is that death rates are up 40% over what they were pre-pandemic,” he said.

...
Davison was one of several business leaders who spoke during the virtual news conference on Dec. 30 that was organized by the Indiana Chamber of Commerce.

Most of the claims for deaths being filed are not classified as COVID-19 deaths, Davison said.

“What the data is showing to us is that the deaths that are being reported as COVID deaths greatly understate the actual death losses among working-age people from the pandemic. It may not all be COVID on their death certificate, but deaths are up just huge, huge numbers.”

...
At the same news conference where Davison spoke, Brian Tabor, the president of the Indiana Hospital Association, said that hospitals across the state are being flooded with patients “with many different conditions,” saying “unfortunately, the average Hoosiers’ health has declined during the pandemic.”

In a follow-up call, he said he did not have a breakdown showing why so many people in the state are being hospitalized – for what conditions or ailments. But he said the extraordinarily high death rate quoted by Davison matched what hospitals in the state are seeing.

A few things to take from this...

1- It's not not the unvaxxed causing hospital overcrowding.
2- The government experts are either misinformed or mischievous.
3- Deaths from COVID are only part of this two year disaster.
4- The loss of life in this age rage effects the economy big time in addition to people being paid not to work. It effects tax receipts which has to do with the inability to pay the country's debt's, and our own debts.
Strange that this is your take on the the data.

For some time we've known that the death count is far higher than expected death count and Covid death count.

Either Coviid deaths are undercounted, or there is something else going on that is causing the 40% increase in deaths among working age people with life insurance.

I'm honestly not seeing the connection, and would love a non-confrontational explanation.
1. Because locking down and not paying attention to the economy as Trump wanted to do, would (did) lead to:
Isolation causing depression which leads to drug/alcohol abuse, suicide
Shutdown hospitials delayed early treatment for many who DIED as a result

THEN there was the idiot in chief who told us all we had no choice, we had to do as we were told. I personaly believe the vaccine is a good thing. I am vaccinated, but that single speech in Aug. KILLED people. Joe Biden KILLED PEOPLE with that speech. period.
Then there was the sending healthcare workers off for not vaccinating. That led to shortages of medical professionals. THAT KILLED PEOPLE.

IF YOU VOTED FOR ORANGMANBAD, YOU ARE PARTY TO THE KILLING.

I am yelling and I shouldnt be. its inappropriate. but peoople are dying because of the choices Americans made in the last election.
They did it because they wanted shutdowns and heavy handed government. they got it and it failed.

AND
AND
Then there is the freaking idiocy of the southern boarder. Trump had that situation in hand. Biden and the ORANGMANBAD VOTERS decided that was immoral.

Now we have millions crossing, we have a government allowing it. Then NOT TESTING THESE PEOPLE. Then flying them all over the country, not telling the locals whats going on and they spred DELTA like wildfire KILLING AMERICANS. Get this. Delta under Biden WITH the vaccine (that Trump got for us) killed more people than COVID without the vaccine under Trump. period. Biden killed people and the people who voted for Biden voted intentionally against Trump and FOR the very policies that have killed Americans.

I don't even listen to people who use the word "pandemic" anymore because it justifies the overreaching and unnecessary response many have had to this virus and the one size fits all solution many of them out in place as a response. The "pandemic" is their narraitive not mine. It's a bad flu that is now endemic which vaccines are now available. People can take them or not but I'm not radically altering my life as a result of others beliefs or actions.

Exactly. WHY are people letting themselves turn into amorphous blobs of fat? It's not that hard to NOT let oneself go...

and

most of our youth (I was one of them many years ago) don't THINK about life insurance or retirement plans until they get in their late 30's or early 40's (which for retirement purposed is considered to be "starting late")

in my previous post all I did was state fact/statistics about life insurance , because some posters had stated that the insurance companies (there are over 800 insurance companies) would be "hemorrhaging cash"

again only 52% of ALL americans have ANY TYPE of life insurance
of those that do have insurance 27%-50% (depending on which site you go to) are UNDER Insured
https://spendmenot.com/blog/life-insurance-statistics/
well, we don't really enough info to go on (I checked your link).

We don't know what "52% have life insurance" means ... are minors covered? spouses? how many people have term insurance, and then retire/policy ends?

And the life insurance companies don't care if someone dies and is "underinsured" ... in fact, they'd PREFER it if 40% of clients were dying well ahead of their actuarial tables.
