it's pretty moronic to wish you would get sick with something that is known to hospitalize people when the hospitals are already full. Your chances may be good but not everyone is that lucky.
I finally got it last week after being surrounded by it at work for 22 months.
Lasted about a week. One bad day with fever spiking. Otherwise it was no worse than a mild flu.
My unvaccinated immune system performed admirably.
PS: I'm 59 and in decent but not perfect shape.
You were lucky. My 60 year old friend ended up in the hospital for three days. He's is good shape too. This disease is weird in that no one knows why it will hit someone and skip over someone else. Something genetic about it probably. You really have little control about it. I think most of us take vitamin D, zinc, and some of the rest of the suggested products. And a lot of people still get very sick anyway.

I do zinc w/copper,,Vitamin d3 w/ vitamin k2, vitamin c everyday. I think you have to fight Covid before you ever get it.
At this point, I think most Americans have had some form of it already, many not knowing it as they were asymptomatic.
80% of my employees have had it, and they tested positive, spent the required time out, and came back fine. Only one was hospitalized. He's back fine now too, but it did a doozy on him.
I did and I didn’t, if that makes any sense. I have it now and fortunately didn’t have fever, chills, headaches, but more like bronchitis, tiredness and no smell or taste. I’m starting to smell a little bit and hope the taste comes back soon. I take c,zinc and D
Since it's just a wish, I think I have a better one: I wish I find out from antibody test that I've already had covid and never knew. It indicates how my body reacts to covid and that would likely apply to different variants.
I still don't want to take a chance on getting covid. Don't know ahead of time how severe it will be or if it will be Delta or Omicron. Being sick with it would be a drag. Furthermore, on Wednesday my local hospital was full of patients with 4 waiting in the ER for a bed to become available. Even though a minority of total patients were in there for covid, when I go get a haircut, I think I'll wear a mask.
I got it over Christmas... it was like one of the mildest colds I ever had.. I get that some people can have complications, but it's highly survivable. Everyone is going to eventually get it unless they isolate themselves forever. Go out and live your live...something is going to kill you eventually..
I kinda thought that too, I mean,..assuming I didn't already get it and just not know.
I am already vaxed and boosted.
But then I hear about repeat infections. Why 'try' to get it,...thinking that's it forever,.when you can just get it Again!
smh
