That and front porch thieves.....criminals.

Fortunately I didn't miss a single package.

And over the years -- if a package was misplaced...usually shipper replaced without any costs to me.

Solution: several thousand volt "electric door" affixed to train cars. A couple smoldering corpses lying to the side of the boxcar should be a sufficient deterrent. Although, with the IQ level we are dealing with, that's debatable. Even if it is not a deterrent, we would know the charcoal briquettes lying along the tracks would never steal packages again.

Don't you know the first rule of covert cargos?

"If you ordered it and it goes missing, YOU DON'T GO LOOKING FOR IT!".

I used to order from Amazon frequently, but since moving to the Florida Panhandle I find most of the stuff that I need locally and often at independent businesses.

I ordered maybe 6-7 items through 2021. They were small, hard to find things like a tail gate assist for my truck, electrostatic bags, and an office chair tilt mechanism and gas cylinder (I didn't want to replace my 20 yo executive office chair). Criminals had few opportunities to steal my Amazon packages and they would not have stolen anything worth the effort.

I saw that this morning and was shocked but I know I shouldn't be. Thievery is escalating everywhere. Here, where I live, they don't steal off trains ... at least not that I know of. They tend to just head over to the high-end department stores with their sledge hammers and bags to load up.

I've also seen news stories where these thieves have stolen right off the Amazon delivery trucks. Piles of opened packaged have been discovered in remote areas. So if people didn't get their items, that's where they might be. It's terrible this is happening. They're so brazen now. They don't even care whether they're caught or not.

With our relaxed laws here now, if you're prosecuted for thefts just under $1,000, it's considered a misdemeanor and they'll probably just get a ticket to appear in court. No one goes to jail. In fact, we're releasing a sizeable number of criminals due to the surge in virus cases.

Waiting now to see how many of these early releases are booked again soon. Such a mess.

Parasites are nothing new. We have a great abundance of them in this country and we take damn good care of them too. And this is the thanks we get...
