Supreme Court Chief Justice John Roberts issued a statement Wednesday denying a National Public Radio report that claimed he had asked his colleagues to wear masks on the bench in deference to fellow Justice Sonia Sotomayor.
The statement by Roberts constituted a rare rebuke of reporting by veteran NPR correspondent Nina Totenberg, whose Tuesday story stated that Justice Neil Gorsuch’s refusal of Roberts’ purported request had forced Sotomayor to take part in oral arguments remotely.
“I did not request Justice Gorsuch or any other Justice to wear a mask on the bench,” said Roberts in the statement issued by the court’s press office.

So Roberts flat-out says he never made the request, but NPR is standing by the story? What on earth is their rationale? That must be the most twisty pretzel ever - put it in the book of records!!
The only Main stream media worth reading is the Wall Street Journal. I've never seen them issue a retraction for making a mistake, and that's because they verify their stories before printing them, like true journalists.
What do you expect from the same media that pushed the Russian hoax with lies after lies everyday for years. The same media that lied on the Michael Brown cop shooting with "don't shoot my hands are up" and the list is long.
Their job is to report the news from a neutral standpoint but We have now activists in the media pushing an agenda and they don't care about pushing a lie here and there or exaggerate for their bottom line and ratings. They would burn the barn down if it would give them ratings.
