It'd be great to come down to s 50-50 vote and Harris was ineligible to break the tie.

After the way she treated Kavanaugh there would be no love between those 2 on the bench.

Default SCOTUS who will be nominated?

Should the esteemed VP Harris be appointed to the SCOTUS?
Some are floating that idea as a way to get her out of the White House. Maybe dog catcher would better fit her skill set.

I think it would be much more likely they replaced Harris with "her" than Breyer but again I don't see "her" playing second Banana to Joe anytime soon.

IMO I would say Biden has a 45% to 50% to get his pick approved if he does select a black women then has a 20% to 25%. I think 1 to 3 democrats will say hell no. Biden has a obsession with black women and I would say it might be a little weird.

Sounding like he's been pressured into retiring.

Agreed...she was the only Democrat that could have lost to Trump in 16...and 24 would be no difference.

Biden nominates Kmala Harris to replace Breyer, effectively getting her out of the way. Schumer fast tracks the confirmation in the Senate while they still have control.
Biden then replaces Harris with Hillary Clinton giving her 2 years as vice president to "prove herself" and get a jump on 24 .
24 Rolls around and Biden obviously doesnt run and Kmala is securely out of the way, Hillary with a big head of steam, gets the old band back together and it is Deja Vue all over again. Clinton vs Trump 2.0
This couldn't look anymore orchestrated if it were the 2020 South Carolina democratic primary.
Sorry but this wouldn't fly as a made for TV movie.

Considering I never heard of the current justices before they were appointed, I would have to say I don't know.
