Haha, maybe it will be Kamala Harris, since she’s so widely disliked. Definitely a way to “get rid of her” so that she’s not considered a frontrunner for 2024.

If not Kamala, I’m sure they will nominate some other wacko leftist based on criteria like gender, race, sexuality, etc and not really any criteria related to qualifications.

I hope Manchin and Sinema force them to put forth an extremely moderate Democrat.

We all know how Democrats think, so it must be a black woman. Nothing else will do.

Even though black people are represented already on SCOTUS.

Where is the Asian American justice?

Why are activist judges a thing? Law is usually clear.

If that were true we wouldn't need SCOTUS.

So Biden will get to replace a liberal with another liberal. No change to the ideological makeup of the court

Also, Biden promised an affirmative action hire, saying he would put a black woman in the court if he was given the chance

Explain that to Sotomayor, because of the 9, she clearly didn't get that memo.

The problem I have is that a "moderate Democrat" means a leftist Democrat on the contentious legal issues of the day. Kagan has actually been sensible on many issues, but again on the key issues of the day she reverts to the strict leftist line.

Smart to do before they lose control over the Senate this fall.....but I don't think they'll get another garbage pick like Sotomayor or Kagan.....they'll have to do better or I think there's a serious chance they get rejected.
