Sean Penn walked to Polish border to leave Ukraine (interview, suspect, independent)

Days after visiting the Ukrainian capital Kyiv to film scenes for his documentary on Russia's invasion, Hollywood actor-director Sean Penn found himself among thousands of refugees fleeing to Poland. He and his crew ditched their car joining the exodus on foot.
It's unknown why the actor and his companions were forced to abandon their vehicle. Perhaps malfunction or no gas?
He attended a press briefing at the Presidential Office in Kyiv, Ukraine February 24, 2022.
Penn had interviewed Ukrainian political and military figures as well as journalists as part of the production, for which he initially visited Ukraine in November.

I will be honest.... where Penn is concerned, i really dont care.
I mean he was great in I am Sam but past that dude is just another leftist freak

I think he'd been filming this documentary for a while.

I got the impression that he and the crew walked because the line of cars had ceased moving.

Fake news. He’s been spotted in his backyard grilling burgers numerous times since his alleged visit. I suspect if the authorities raid his house right now he’d be home in his pajamas.

He started filming the documentary in November of 2021. It was in the works. So yes he inserted him in it because he was doing a documentary on Ukraine/Russian relations.



I saw footage where people have abandoned cars because they ran out of gas and the lines were not moving.

This guy thought he could go make a movie about a war, IN the war? He didn't know there was danger in a military conflict? Did he think it was fake? I guess he fled when confronted with real life.
