You're making a lot of assumptions here. From what I understand, he was already there, when suddenly Russia invaded. It wasn't known prior to that, if P was just saber-rattling, or what his intent was. And Penn's crew could have been there for weeks, before any threats had been made and the situation heated up. Don't forget how quickly the situation escalated.
I'll be very interested to see his film, once it's available.

Yup. Couldn't give a sh*t what he does. Sad that others are so caught up in the celebrity worship to care. Seems like there are bigger issues out there right now than concern for him having to walk out, especially since he's the one who put himself in that position to start with.
