If Biden Inc are so worried about Russia-Ukraine causing horrible spike in energy costs (gas etc.) then why would they simultaneously be cancelling Oil/Gas leases?
The reality is... The ideological team behind Biden are using Russia-Ukraine as a cover to conflate the outcomes of their own Climate Change policy agenda.
The agenda of climate change, to achieve the ultimate wealth transfer mechanism of global carbon trading, is behind all of this.

The Biden administration has once again put a pause on new leases and permits for federal oil and gas drilling after a judge blocked the administration from using a metric that estimates the societal cost of carbon emissions.

Trump filled it up when oil was at a low price and Biden tapped it to lower the costs at the pump a few pennies to make himself look better. Is he still tapping it? What happens when it runs out? Will Biden give Putin a call to get more oil since Opec told Biden NO?

As of last week, he was begging the Saudis to increase oil production, due to the high prices he has created in the US by restrictions on new exploration!!! The Saudis, of course, told him to pack liberal sand.

I don't think the Saudies care for Biden... they would pump more oil for Trump, but we would not need it because Trump would make us energy independent.
Biden is buying oil for Russia and doubled the amount.. You see, Biden took kick backs from Russia, so Biden is buying Russian oil. We are not stupid. Biden is selling us out for a buck to get big bucks for him and his family.
That is not quite true, he is temporarily blocking new leases on federal lands, notice the word "new".
Meanwhile there 7,000 leases on public and private lands that are not being used so if you want to blame someone then blame the oil companies.

Well if you think you're oil lease might not be renewed when the time comes, it makes a lot of those current leases worthless and not worth the risk of using a lot of current ones that don't have a long duration left.
